Arahura Round Two
The weather decided to cooperate one day so we called up the friendly neighborhood helicopter pilot and booked ourselves a day on the Arahura. It was fun going back to the first fly in I did almost three months ago. The day could not have gone any better, we had a sweet group of four: two first timers to the run and Jonho and myself. Great lines, amazing weather, sweet river, and a little carnage to keep people on their toes made for a perfect day out.
The Burn getting ready to rock out.
Nev enjoys his introductory run of Dent Falls.
Jonho flying high again.
Jonho piecing together the beautiful puzzle.
Jonho fired up Billiards in style.
Jonho was perma-stocked after he cleaned Billiards.
Giving Cess Pit a once over.
Nev getting ready to put the icing on the cake.
The Arahura really is the Opal Creek of New Zealand. It is the standard by which other runs are compared to. It is mostly grade IV with a few rapids pushing higher, it is very pretty, and ends with some spicy pushing big water. In Conclusion the Arahura rocks!
