The Styx

Another day another new river, it's a hard life I know. This day Amy and I set off with the north island crew plus some new Americans that we met the night before to do the Styx. The Styx is awesome you hike for about an hour which is just long enough to enjoy but not get to tired and the river is sweet lots of fun boofs and cool lines. It is on the easier side of things (Opal like) so not much scouting is needed so not to many pictures seem to get taken. Amy and I did this run a handful of times over the two weeks we were in Hoki and sometimes it was just the two of us.

As you can see it is definitely worth the hike in most of the times we would start in the pool just above the drop in this picture

The Styx is fun

You can fly into Styx way up top and make it into a full day adventure it sounds like it is a real kick in the pants and is definitely on my todo list.
