Low water Kakapotahi

The evening after boating the Crooked Amy and I met up with Mike, Kevin, and Sharka from the north island. All three had slalom boating backgrounds and proved to be very good paddlers. The next day all five of us sent off to do the Kakapotahi. It happened to be a lot on the low side but new rivers are always fun.

Keven wondering where all the water goes

This is where you boof from when there is water today we just slid off

The creek was quite sievey due to the very "young" and constantly changing river bed

We came back a few days later after a night of rain and did this run again and that rock at the bottom of this drop was completely underwater. which made the run very full on and borderline terrifying.
