Fox Glacier and Haast Pass drive...a few scenic shots

Here are just a few scenic shots from the drive along the west coast down to Queenstown. First, we stopped at one of the two famous West Coast glaciers, the Fox Glacier.

There's the glacier in the distance.

The emerald green pools below Fox Glacier.

Brrr...Glacial water looks cold! Been there, done that.

Lots of great bridges spanning the rivers out here. This one above the Fox River, right below the glacier.

Walking up to the base of the glacier with some funny signs.

There it is. The Fox Glacier. Most of the water is coming from the dark cave there on the right.

An overlook of the ocean from the West Coast drive.

Roadside waterfalls are a common sight.

The water is so clean here that the locals say you can drink from just about any river in NZ.
